During a recent visit to IHOP store #[redacted] on 2/5/[redacted], my experience was initially delayed as nobody approached our table for 10-15 minutes. Fortunately, server Marty ([redacted]/Marnitta) took charge, apologized, and promptly served us drinks before swiftly taking our food order. Despite observing another server appearing disengaged, Marty provided exceptional service, engaging in pleasant conversations while efficiently attending to her own tables. Her proactive approach transformed our negative experience into a positive one, preventing us from leaving. Marty's outstanding service deserves recognition, perhaps even a raise, as she exemplifies exceptional customer care at IHOP #[redacted]. I believe she sets a high standard for other servers at the restaurant to emulate in the future.

During our visit to IHOP today, my family and I encountered a busy and understaffed situation. With just three servers, one cook, and the manager running the show, the atmosphere was chaotic. Seated far from the kitchen, we couldn't help but overhear the manager yelling and swearing at two servers over a mistake that was actually her own. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've witnessed this behavior from her. This manager seems to have a recurring problem with her communication style, which greatly affects the staff morale. The constant aggressive behavior towards the employees is unacceptable, and it's no wonder the place is struggling to retain staff.

I visited IHOP yesterday and spent $69.55, with a $5 tip making it $74.85. However, my card is pending for a charge of $83.48 from them. I returned immediately after noticing and spoke with the manager at store number [redacted] in Houston, Texas. The manager, Luis, declined to give me his last name and mentioned security reasons. I dined with two others at IHOP, finding it odd that the place was so empty. While my friends paid in cash, I used my Cash App Visa card and didn't receive a receipt or sign one. Due to the late hour, I couldn't go back immediately and requested a refund to my card since I operate on a limited budget. Despite contacting the store and speaking with the area manager, my money has not been returned. I feel taken advantage of, as the waitress possibly used my card to cover up a cash payment issue. On Monday, 03/27/[redacted], my partner and I visited the IHOP at [redacted] Garth Rd, Baytown, TX. We were attracted by a promotion for buy one get one free on crepes displayed outside, but upon mentioning it, we were informed by our server that the promotion had ended. Despite the sign still being up, the server's attempt to address it with a man we assumed was Jorge, a manager, was met with a dismissive and rude response. Jorge did not acknowledge us, spoke curtly, and did not handle the situation professionally. We found his behavior disrespectful towards us and the server. It's disappointing that he didn't take the time to explain the situation or offer an apology. The server, on the other hand, was pleasant and the food was good. The lack of basic courtesy from Jorge left a negative impression on our dining experience.

During my recent visit to your Commerce, GA location today, I ordered the chicken quesadillas. When the waitress asked me about a side, assuming it was included, I chose broccoli. Upon payment, I noticed an extra $2.99 charge for the broccoli. I brought this up, and the waitress explained it was a mistake and the side wasn't included. I asked for it to be removed, but the manager insisted I pay because I had already eaten it. Despite feeling this was unfair, the manager stood by the policy. Disappointed by the poor customer service and unwillingness to correct the error, I have decided not to return. I find it concerning that such a small mistake and $3 charge resulted in losing a customer. I want to share my experience with IHOP management. I used to work there before the Covid-19 pandemic. After returning to work in May [redacted], I had some scheduling issues that led to me being unfairly fired. Despite being scheduled only for Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday shifts, I was informed upon arrival for my Sunday shift that I had missed a Saturday shift I was never told about due to a sudden change in the schedule. The manager, Jena, failed to inform me of this change and subsequently terminated my employment. I felt singled out and discriminated against, especially since I had been a dedicated employee for almost a year at another IHOP location. I felt mistreated by Jena and suspect unfair treatment due to reasons like my ethnicity, tattoos, or background. Despite my strong work ethic and positive track record, I faced an unjust dismissal. Despite the setbacks, I am considering seeking legal advice regarding discrimination and wrongful termination.

I visited the [redacted] Mockingbird Lane location in Dallas, TX on 4/4/23 in the morning. Unfortunately, I left my purse behind and suspect it was either stolen or disposed of. Upon returning with my husband later that day to search for it, we encountered unhelpful staff giving us the runaround. Altercations are a common occurrence, with customers brandishing weapons such as guns and knives in large groups. Theft from employees, food, and unpaid checks are regular incidents. Concerns raised by workers are dismissed by the store manager, who fails to address the issues effectively. Employees feel compelled to pay for unpaid bills to avoid reprimand. The manager discourages employees from seeking help from higher authorities and maintains a culture of secrecy. The kitchen staff mistreat servers with management's approval, affecting service quality and causing discord. The manager's lack of action perpetuates the hostile work environment, leading to dissatisfaction among employees.

I have been dining at IHOP in Hot Springs, Arkansas every Saturday morning for quite some time now, so much that the staff recognizes us. The manager there was truly remarkable. This lady excelled in every aspect, always displaying a pleasant attitude. She tackled issues efficiently, supported her team during busy times, and kept things in order. I affectionately referred to her as Wonder Woman. On occasions, I witnessed her covering the bill for a customer whose card was declined, even when treated rudely. However, she has not been present for the past two Saturdays, replaced by a new team, and I learned that this dedicated woman named Angela has been dismissed. It is disheartening. Angela poured her heart into her work, always wearing a smile even through personal struggles like losing her husband. I am profoundly disappointed and dismayed by this decision. It is clear you have made a severe misjudgment in letting go of this kind-hearted lady.

My spouse and I recently dined at a local IHOP for breakfast, and we were disappointed with our experience. Despite the busy morning, our meals arrived barely warm. During our visit to IHOP in Florence, SC on April 26th, [redacted], my sister and I encountered some issues. We ordered the senior meal and specified our preferences to Tasha, who took our order. I requested 2 hard scrambled eggs, bacon well-done, and grits instead of toast or pancakes, along with some beverages. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, the pancakes were raw, the bacon was undercooked, and the grits looked unappetizing. When we addressed these concerns to Tasha, her response was unprofessional and dismissive. We did not appreciate her attitude. We are requesting a refund of $29.54 for the unsatisfactory meal we had. Despite not usually complaining about our dining experiences, this time the food quality and service fell short of our expectations. On 5/24/23, I visited IHOP in Hillsborough, NJ for breakfast. I ordered steak and eggs for $16.99, Sr. Breakfast Sampler for $7.49, and 2 coffees at $2.79 each. Unfortunately, the food arrived lukewarm, the steak tips were burnt and dry, and instead of red potatoes, we received french fries with the sampler. When I raised these concerns to our waitress, Gladiz, she called the manager, Naimi, to our table. Sadly, there was no apology from Naimi, and she insisted that the steak tips were meant to be that way, without gravy. Despite showing photos of the inedible food, the only resolution offered was a $2.69 discount on the $29.18 bill. I left feeling unsatisfied with the service and lack of appropriate response to the issues we faced.

I am requesting my W-2 as I have not received it yet. Despite the IRS sending a notification letter with a 10-day deadline, I have not received the form. It was expected by mid-February. This delay suggests the W-2 was not mailed by January 31st, the legal deadline. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will contact the IRS. Please send me my W-2 promptly to avoid involving the IRS further.

I have been employed at IHOP for a few months now, but I have yet to receive a paycheck after the initial training payment. Unlike some other servers who are paid bi-weekly, I have not received any payment. Despite raising my concerns with the manager multiple times, I have been told that we are not supposed to receive regular paychecks. Our recent experience at your Tulsa location at 129th and 31st was incredibly disappointing. We will not be returning to this location. We typically frequent your 71st and Memorial location. Unfortunately, our server seemed inexperienced and the manager's behavior was extremely rude. Our meals arrived undercooked and there was a lack of tarter sauce with the fish dish, which was also not communicated to us beforehand. When we decided not to keep the fish, we were denied keeping the french fries. Additionally, we received dirty silverware twice. Despite the manager's poor attitude, the situation could have been salvaged with proper care and attention.

Unfortunately, the DoorDash driver delivered my food to the wrong location and did not bring it to me, despite admitting the mistake.
