Hello, I recently got my new bistro coffee grinder ([redacted]), but it is producing roughly broken beans instead of a fine powder. Inside the box, there was a metallic part that the instructions did not mention. I believe it is related to grinding but unsure where to place it. As a result, I am unable to use my coffee grinder currently, which is frustrating. Thank you for your assistance. Helene

I purchased a Bodum coffee press back in late [redacted], and it makes good coffee. While going through the instruction pamphlet that came with it, I came across a section about turning off the pour spout opening for the BRAZIL models. I couldn't tell if mine was a BRAZIL model since the handle and top are made of plastic with a recess where they meet. The instructions aren't clear on how to determine if it's a BRAZIL model, as they mention the lid not turning. However, on the Bodum website, it mentions that for the BRAZIL French Press, you should turn the lid to close the pour spout to keep the heat in. I'm wondering if the BRAZIL model has changed since [redacted] to allow the lid to be turned. I appreciate any help or advice on how to turn the lid to keep the heat in for the BRAZIL model I have. Subject: Bodum Bread Box H 13.5, L 35.5 W 22.5 cm... was a Christmas gift to us - no invoice received, therefore, no possibility for return - just for information: the bamboo lid was already arched about 8mm and now has an arch of over 20mm - as a closing bread box, it is no longer usable. In our opinion, a design flaw. The lid is, in relation to its size, too thin. We previously had a small bread box, whose lid was almost 14mm thick and it still remains "flat." Recommendation: redesign or remove from the product range, damaging the reputation. We are satisfied with your other products (tea maker, etc.). Regards, Bernhard N. I have been using the Bodum Electric Coffee Grinder (Model [redacted]-1/[redacted]-3 Bistro) for years. I recently replaced my third unit and have always preferred it over the competitors. However, I noticed a build-up of older coffee grinds inside the grinder after each use, which became apparent when I removed the glass container. Despite regularly cleaning the mechanism with a brush and tapping it, I was surprised by the amount of residue that accumulated over time. I am concerned about how long these older grounds have been in the grinder and if they affect the freshness of my daily grind. I was wondering if this is normal and what steps I can take to prevent this build-up. Although I haven't noticed a decline in the quality of my French press coffee, I am curious about improving this issue. Interestingly, with my newest model, I still observed some residue on its first use, but in a smaller amount compared to the previous grinder.

Dear Sirs and Madams, I hope you understand German as my English is not very good. I have a small issue with the vinegar and oil bottles from your company. I have been very satisfied with Bodum products in the past, so I trusted this experience and bought these containers from your company at Tchibo. Until recently, I was very happy with them. However, the bottles I used for vinegar have turned into fruit fly traps. I was not pleased with this, of course. I always made sure the ball covered the large opening. Unfortunately, it seems these flies are getting into the vinegar through the small hole in the back. Could you please advise me on how to address this issue? Many kind regards, Barbara F.

After breaking my last glass Bodum beaker, I decided to buy another french press. I was pleasantly surprised to find a new double wall metal french press labeled as the number [redacted] at the bottom. I have a habit of placing my french press in the sun while using it to maintain the temperature of the coffee or tea. However, after using it for a few months, I noticed a design flaw with the lid that caused water to collect between the two pieces, which could lead to bacteria growth. I managed to separate the pieces and used it without the metal top, but noticed that it lost heat more quickly. I found a solution in a double wall plastic lid from Ozark Trail, which improved heat retention in my coffee cup. I believe a similar solution could enhance your french press design. I appreciate the double wall improvement in the french press and continue to recommend it to others for the best coffee/tea experience. Dear Sir or Madam, I placed an order with you online on 11.10.[redacted] (Invoice: MP [redacted]4; Payment Receipt 1[redacted]). The ordered goods were left at the post office (Branch [redacted] (Post Agency OM), Goethestr. 43, [redacted] Köln) due to my absence on the delivery day (13.10.[redacted]). I was not able to collect it within a week after delivery due to illness. Upon visiting the above-mentioned branch on Friday, 22.10.[redacted], I was informed that my package had been returned to the sender (Shipment number: JJD[redacted][redacted]8). As I have not received any feedback on the shipping status from either Deutsche Post or you as the sender, I called Deutsche Post today to inquire about the status. They could not provide me with any information and asked me to contact you. If you have received the unwanted return of my order, please provide me with a brief feedback and arrange for the reshipment of my order. In case it has not been received, Deutsche Post mentioned that the sender should initiate a search request with Deutsche Post to ascertain the whereabouts of the package. I'm having trouble getting the plunger to go down in my Bodum travel mug (15 oz). Wondering if I should trim the edges of the stainless steel mesh. It suddenly became impossible to move it up or down overnight. I have a red replacement on order. Is there any way to fix this previous one? Regarding order #[redacted]89, the expected Fed Ex overnight delivery for Friday 2/25/22 has been delayed with no specified delivery date. I had purchased the items as a gift and chose expedited shipping due to my procrastination. As Fed Ex did not deliver by the end of business on Friday, I am wondering if I am eligible for a refund of the delivery fee since it was not within the guaranteed overnight delivery timeframe. While I understand there were weather-related issues, I am not aware of any such provision in the Fed Ex guarantee. We have been satisfied customers of Bodum for a long time and recently started buying directly from Bodum. We do not seek an apology as the delay was due to my last-minute decision. I have tried different coffee beans, and they worked well for about two weeks. After that, when I grind the beans to the finest setting for my espresso machine, the grinding stone slips from the engine and creates a loud noise. I have to set the grind setting to at least 50% to prevent the slipping, which defeats the purpose of grinding specifically for espresso. I have cleaned the machine multiple times, but the issue persists.

Hello, I purchased a tea pot from Bodum along with a candle holder as a gift. After bringing it from Switzerland to Germany, my mother in law discovered a large scratch on the pot upon opening it. This is frustrating considering the price of [redacted] Swiss Francs. Could you please arrange for a replacement to be sent to her? My English is not very good, I hope you can still understand my issue and assist me. Before Christmas, in December [redacted], I ordered a new glass carafe for my broken French press coffee maker and paid with a credit card. On December 23rd, we received a message from DHL that the item was prepared for shipping and dispatched. Later, it was reported that the shipment was misdirected and needed to be redelivered. On December 28th, we then received a message that the shipment was successfully delivered. However, not to our address in Munich, but to Neumünster. DHL could not provide further information as the task of "successful delivery to Neumünster" was completed for them. While Bodum informed us they would address the issue and asked us not to inquire, it has been 2 weeks since then. The DHL tracking number is JJD[redacted][redacted]6. Hello, I purchased the Bodum water kettle with thermostat a year ago. Recently, while using it on the 70-degree setting, the kettle did not stop heating and reached boiling point. Despite my attempts to stop it and disconnect the kettle, it continued and emitted a strong burnt smell. I promptly switched it off. After waiting a few minutes, I tried to test it again, but now it shows no reaction. I suspect the overheating protection may be damaged. I contacted Bodum's customer service in Portugal, where I live, but unfortunately have not received any assistance despite providing all the necessary information and photographs. Hello, I am unsure if our Goose Neck Stainless Stove Top 34oz Kettle is still under warranty. I cannot find my e-receipt, but I think it was bought after our Electric Kettle in [redacted]. Can you check your records for the purchase date? The bottom of the spout has come apart and is leaking, making the kettle unusable. I have been in contact with BODUM multiple times since December regarding a defect in my tea pot. I provided a photo and description initially. BODUM responded with a case number and I submitted the invoice. However, I have not received any further feedback from them. Can someone assist me with this? Hello, my BODUM KETTLE is showing signs of peeling color despite careful maintenance and rare usage. Otherwise, it is as good as new. How can this be? Does it not tolerate hot steam? My husband got me the Milk Steamer for Christmas in [redacted]. I use it every day and absolutely love it! Unfortunately, I recently encountered an issue where the spinner came apart from the black plastic ring at the bottom of the steamer. I bought a Bodum coffee grinder in February [redacted], and unfortunately, it stopped working properly in August. The grinder jams up, and the motor overheats, making it unusable. I reached out to Bodum via email, and they redirected me to Amazon since the item was shipped by them. However, the return period with Amazon has expired, leaving me in a difficult situation. I believe Bodum should stand by their warranty for a product that is malfunctioning. Thank you.

Hello, I ordered a replacement glass carafe from Bodum in July [redacted], with confirmation on July 27, [redacted]. The replacement glass arrived, but it was the wrong size, too tall for this type of carafe. I reported the issue on July 30th, was informed about a reshipment that never arrived. When I inquired about the misdelivery on August 8th, on August 9th, a person named Silvia from Bodum responded that they would contact the shipping company. After no further action, I submitted a second complaint on August 22nd. On August 28th, I received a form for investigation from DHL, which was completed and returned by email the same day. On September 24th, I complained for the third time, with no response from Bodum.
